About Me:
Dr. Adaeze Nnabue is a committed optometrist providing the best visual eye care in the Washington D.C. metro area. She received her Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology as a Global Public Health Scholar at the University of Maryland College Park. During her undergrad years, Dr. Adaeze discovered her interest in optometry while on a medical mission in Nigeria with her father, Dr. Alexander Nnabue (who also happens to be an accomplished eye doctor) After exposing herself to the wonders of optometry, she decided to attend Salus-Drexel Pennsylvania College of Optometry where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree. On her rotations in school, she gained valuable experiences that piqued her interest in dry eye and specialty contact lenses. She was also granted the opportunity to present a clinical case at Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS). While in optometry school, Dr. Adaeze Nnabue served as the Director of Education for White Coats 4 Black Lives, a member of the American Optometric Student Association, and a member of National Optometric Student Association. She volunteered with the Special Olympics to provide care for athletes with intellectual disabilities at Villanova University. She performed visual screenings to students ranging from kindergarten to high school around Philadelphia. Dr. Adaeze has many interests outside of optometry including traveling, crocheting, reading, and learning languages. She is also fluent in Spanish.
