Driven by a passion for excellence and continuous learning, Dr. Nnabue proceeded to the United States for advanced professional training. He enrolled at the prestigious Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he obtained a second Doctorate degree in Optometry in 1994. His time there was marked by academic distinction, culminating in the award of the institution’s Outstanding Graduate Award, a testament to his dedication and intellectual rigor.

Over the years, Dr. Nnabue has built an illustrious international career in optometry. His professional journey has taken him across continents, serving as an educator in Israel and Norway and later as a Senior Examiner for the American National Board of Optometry. These roles placed him at the heart of shaping standards, education, and professional competence in the field of optometry.

In addition to his academic and professional contributions, Dr. Nnabue has also made significant impact in healthcare leadership. He currently serves on the Board of Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, one of the world’s foremost pediatric healthcare institutions. His involvement reflects a deep commitment to advancing healthcare delivery, particularly for children and vulnerable populations.

Dr. Nnabue is also the Founder and Chief Executive of Visual Eyes Gropu, through which he continues to influence eye care practice, innovation, and service delivery. His work consistently blends clinical excellence with a strong sense of social responsibility.
